The Asia Cup final will be played in Colombo rather than Kandy after the Asian Cricket Council accepted that the weather forecast made the original venue unworkable.
Heavy rain has affected the tournament throughout the week, with two group matches reduced and one abandoned without a ball bowled.
“The decision was taken with the safety of players and spectators in mind,” the ACC said in a statement. “We are grateful to the boards for their flexibility.”
The final will be played on Monday, with a reserve day available.
